El camino chileno hacia una nueva constitución
Este artículo de investigación aborda el proceso constituyente chileno iniciado en noviembre de 2019 a partir de tres dimensiones. La primera se centra en la revisión de antecedentes que dan cuenta del prolongado debate sobre el cambio constitucional. La segunda atiende las reglas constitucionales para el reemplazo de la Constitución vigente, y la tercera presenta una mirada a las principales transformaciones contenidas en el primer borrador del proyecto de nueva constitución. Este texto pretende contribuir a la comprensión de las nociones básicas de la discusión constitucional y de las etapas del proceso que articula un eventual cambio del ordenamiento chileno.

The Chilean path towards a new Constitution
This research article addresses the Chilean Constituent Process initiated in November 2019, based on three dimensions. The first focuses on a review of the history that gave rise to the prolonged debate about constitutional change. The second addresses the constitutional rules for the replacement of the current Constitution. And the third looks at the main transformations contained in the first draft of the proposed new Constitution. The article aims to contribute to an understanding of the basic notions of the constitutional discussion and the stages of the process that will eventually change the Chilean legal system.

Der chilenische Weg zu einer neuen Verfassung
Diese Untersuchung beschäftigt sich in drei Dimensionen mit dem im November 2019 eingeleiteten Verfassungsgebungsprozess in Chile. Die erste Dimension konzentriert sich auf die Durchsicht der Vorgeschichte, aus der die Dauer der Debatte über die Verfassungsreform hervorgeht. Sowohl die zweite Dimension, die sich mit den in der Verfassung festgelegten Regeln für den Ersatz der geltenden Verfassung befasst, als auch die dritte gehen auf die wichtigsten, im ersten Entwurf der neuen Verfassung enthaltenen Transformationen ein. Der vorliegende Text beabsichtigt, einen Beitrag zum Verständnis der grundlegenden Fragen der Verfassungsdiskussion sowie zu den Etappen des Prozesses zu leisten, der die mögliche Änderung der chilenischen Grundordnung formuliert.
